Our first and forever relationship with Life

"God gave us the gift of life, now we must give ourselves a gift of living it well"
                                       ~Voltaire
We understand this, right?
Have you ever had such a feeling that, given a chance, you would like to live your life in an unhealthy manner? Of course NOT. (the depressed and pained lot long for betterment and not further chaos)
What then, is the reason which would account for a lot of people in our generation found to be cut off from the rest of the world? How come they suddenly begin to see the lack of sympathy there is for them and completely ignore the fact that there is so much yet to happen.
I would like to point out few reasons which I feel are the nemesis of this kind of feeling :-
a) Being away from society: Just shying away at occasions where they need to have their say.
b) Not opening up to people: Remember, if you do not bare the wound to antiseptic, there is every chance it will cause a septic.
c) Complaining about what's not happening right for them at some instance, trust me everything happens for a reason. If only you keep an open mind, you will be able to see the results.
d) Expecting a lot from people: why should they be expected by you and not everybody else? Remember we all have the same 24 hours a day, and thus it is fair enough for the other person to decide whom they wish to share it with or share for. PERIOD.
e) Worrying about failure: Believe me, it's not as harsh as we think. We can keep on doing better in our lives, but all the times we fail, we are made aware of the fact how we can do things best. Remember that, and embrace your fall with grace, for ultimately it is going to lead to the best in You.
f) Finally, the Peer Pressure: The "Log kya kahenge"  Syndrome as I would rather say. The counter to this is very simple:
"Ever been in a relationship? If yes, good. If no, it's even better. Let's start one now. Consider your Life as your girl/boy whom you have so much love to offer. Now, answer me, would you like another friend of yours or an unknown person to hit on her/him?  Tell her/him what to do? Pinch her/him if she does it the other way? NO dear, you can't do that. "
That's what I have been trying to tell you all this time. For making our lives happier before someone can be a part of it, we need to get in a committed and meaningful relationship with our own life. It does make sense, you see.
For those who are wondering whether I am against a real relationship, I'm not. But remember, people ultimately walk away from our lives, but it is our life that's going to be the first and forever friend. And so, we need to value it likewise.
